Using Front Row to play all your videos

If you are like me and use you Mac to playback videos on TV, there’s a very simple way to make it playback all of your file formats. Behind Front Row, there is Quicktime. At least this is the case for video. Knowing that, the trick now is to make it recognize all kinds of video compression.

There’s no need to bother with multiple plugins anymore, just grab Perian and that’s it!

Perian is a free, open source QuickTime component that adds native support for many popular video formats.
