Installing Windows 7 64bits using an USB flash drive

There is lot of information on the web for someone who wants to create a bootable USB flash drive to install Windows 7. So much stuff that it's difficult to find out if there's a quicker and better way somewhere.

There is even an official tool from Microsoft called Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool. I tried it but it's not working with my Kingston 8GB USB flash drive and my Volume Licensed Windows 7 64bits ISO.

The easiest and quickest solution is UNetbootin. Make sure you flash drive is plugged to your computer and formatted using NTFS. Download UNetbootin (it's only an executable, no need to install). Start it and choose the ISO. Select the destination and press OK.

The software displays the language based on the local and not the language of the OS. If like me you need to have it displayed in English, create a shortcut like this one:
D:\unetbootin-win-549.exe lang=en
Have a look here to see all the parameters available.
